Dr. Rachman Chung is the Owner and Clinical Director of NeuroAxis Health. A board-certified chiropractic neurologist and Fellow of the American College of Functional Neurology, a licensed Quantitative EEG (qEEG)diplomate. He integrates the latest advances in clinical neuroscience, rehabilitation, and neurotherapy with a personalized, compassionate approach. His work focuses on optimizing brain health and guiding patients through their healing journey.
Education & Training
Dr. Chung has over 30 years of clinical training spanning chiropractic, functional neurology, neurotherapy, functional medicine and integrative therapies. His advanced training includes programs through the Carrick Institute in Clinical Neuroscience, Vestibular Rehabilitation, Movement Disorders, and Traumatic Brain Injury, along with specialized studies i neurobehavioral and childhood disorders. He also holds certifications in Active Release Techniques, Cranial Fluid Dynamics, and Zen Shiatsu.
Background & Personal Journey
Born and raised in California and Portland, Oregon, Dr. Chung grew up immersed in the vibrant 80s skate and surf culture. As a nationally recognized semi-professional skateboarder, he was sponsored by Powell Peralta, Airwalk Shoes, Vision Street Wear, and Venture Trucks, appearing in international magazines and videos. However, a series of chronic injuries and a life-changing concussion shifted his trajectory. Facing his own health crisis ignited a lifelong passion for alternative medicine and neuroscience. Since then, Dr. Chung has dedicated his career to helping others overcome obstacles, restore function, and reclaim their lives.
Special Interests
Quantitative EEG, neuromodulation, biofeedback, neurofeedback, vestibular rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, metabolic health, and chiropractic care.
Outside the Clinic
When he isn’t immersed in neurology or advancing patient care, you can find Dr. Chung cycling the streets of San Francisco, dancing, or playing pickleball.
